Live music, DJs and a new menu throughout July.

Engel marks one year at The Royal Exchange this July — and it’s throwing the party of the season to celebrate. A collab with iconic rosé Whispering Angel, “The Summer Edition” is a series of live music evenings on the Engel Terrace every Thursday and Friday throughout the month.

Kicking off 3rd July, guests will enjoy live DJs and musicians as well as a new menu and drinks list and rejuvenated new-look terrace — one inspired by “laid-back coastal dining and the energy of Mykonos-style terrace nights.” Each evening runs from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with the option of moving upstairs to Engel Bar if it’s not warm and sunny. Thursdays will offer a more chilled RnB lounge set, ideal for winding down after work. Fridays will have a livelier vibe and feature Balearic and Mykonos-inspired DJ sets, and upbeat instrumentalists.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Whispering Angel to introduce live music and DJs to our outdoor terrace at Engel for the very first time. The launch also marks the first-year anniversary of Engel and Jang’s opening, making it an even more special occasion. Sure, we know it’s not quite Ibiza or Mykonos; but many of our guests tell us that, surrounded by the grand buildings and the ‘piazza’ atmosphere, Engel Terrace feels a lot like Rome. And honestly, we’re more than happy with that,” says Jose Ubero, General Manager, Engel and Jang.
