Co-founded by brothers Nick & Giles English in 2002, and based in Henley-on-Thames, British watchmaker Bremont is renowned for manufacturing watches for some of the most exclusive military squadrons around the world.

Remaining true to its founding principles of aviation, the military, British engineering and adventure, the Bremont Project Possible timepiece celebrates its ambassador Nirmal ‘Nims’ Purja MBE’s remarkable completion of the ultimate mountaineering challenge, last year in 2019. The challenge saw Purja summit Earth’s 14 tallest mountain peaks, all higher than 8,000m, in less than seven months, smashing the previous record of nearly eight years and breaking a further six world records in the process.

Purja is a Gurkha who proudly served in one of the British military’s most distinguished regiments, in defense of the United Kingdom, and he was the first Gurkha to climb Mount Everest while serving the British Military.

As a tribute to Purja’s extraordinary achievement, the Limited Edition Bremont Project Possible GMT diver watch is limited to 300 pieces and is based on Bremont’s celebrated Supermarine 500 model. Built from titanium and bronze – the first time Bremont has incorporated bronze in any of its watches – the timepiece features a dark blue dial with bronze bezel and ceramic blue insert, teamed with bronze hands.

The back of the watch reveals an open case back through which the rotor can be seen, detailing the heights of each of the 14 mountains, in the order of which Purja summitted them.

What’s more, the watch is water resistant to 500 metres, making it as suited to an ocean dive as it is for a mountain climbing expedition, depending on how adventurous you feel.
