Londoners on Love: Simon
Brand consultant Simon tells us #WhatLoveIs to him
We took to the streets surrounding The Royal Exchange to ask the City community to share their thoughts on the topic of love. In this special series, we find out #WhatLoveIs to Londoners today.
SIMON, 40, BRAND CONSULTANT
“Love is a learning game. Every time you fall in love you understand a little more. You realise each one was unique and you grow from it, no matter how hurtful or great it was. I don’t think we ever stop learning how to love – close friends, colleagues, family – a combination of most of the people you meet in your life will affect you. Family is very important to me so on a materialistic level I always try to look after my family – or anybody that I love – first. I love treating my mum to as much as humanly possible, and while you have to have material things in your life because that’s how we survive these days, at the same time all of those things mean nothing unless you feel love. Sometimes just being there is the most loving thing you can do for someone. I had a big birthday this year and all my family came together to celebrate. There was a huge amount of love coming in.”
