    LONDONERS ON LOVE: ISO

Graphic designer Iso tells us #WhatLoveIs to her

We took to the streets surrounding The Royal Exchange to ask the City community to share their thoughts on the topic of love. In this special series, we find out #WhatLoveIs to Londoners today.

    ISO, 22, GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Love is far too complicated and vast to be put into a sentence, but I am starting to realise that my female friendships are the most loving, caring and impassioned relationships that I have. My mother brought me up single-handedly, which meant that she had to sacrifice a lot in order to raise me. This included her career in photography, romantic relationships and a significant part of her youth (she had me at 22). When I recently questioned her about it she said that she was scared to lose out on all of those things and of course they ran through her mind, but as soon as she had me it was tunnel vision and all those other things that everyone desired and wanted seemed so insignificant in comparison to what being a mother had given her.”
