On Saturday 2 May, Philippa Stanton – artist, Instagrammer (@5ftinf) and author of the book Conscious Creativity: Look, Connect, Create – will be taking over The Royal Exchange Instagram (@theroyalexchange) to host a live session designed to spark creativity at home, using just the things that you already have to hand.

The hour-long session will begin at 11am, is suitable for both adults and children and does not require participants to prepare anything beforehand. Philippa’s concept of domestic foraging will help you to unearth home treasures you didn’t even know you had, expanding your senses to discover the beauty that exists all around us, but can be easily overlooked, and showing you how to capture it.

The session will provide an opportunity to unlock your creative potential, encompassing ways to be creative at home through domestic foraging, colour matching and composition. The session will conclude with a Q&A session, giving you a chance to ask Philippa any further questions you may have about how to access creativity at any time and in any environment.
