    What’s new this April

It may not be business as usual, but The Royal Exchange’s remarkable retailers have special online offers and home deliveries to ensure you won’t have to go without, as well as inspiring initiatives to help those who need it most

In a month where everything has changed and we are all adapting to a new way of life, home comforts, little consistencies and positive stories have become more important than ever. The Royal Exchange may have had to close its doors for the time being, but our digital channels will continue to bring you the latest news from all your favourite brands. Our community of independent boutiques and international brands that make up The Royal Exchange are as busy as ever, continuing to create fine goods and coming up with ways to help others during the coronavirus crisis. Read on for inspiring news, special online offers and new product launches.

The Royal Exchange retailers are making us all proud with their efforts to support those most in need during these difficult times. At the same time, they make it easier for us all to contribute, by supporting their thoughtful initiatives.

Bremont founders Giles and Nick English have submitted an application to produce ventilator parts at their watchmaking factory in Oxfordshire, to address the shortage of ventilators in the fight against Covid-19.

Cutter & Squidge bakery is now offering Essentials Boxes containing milk, eggs, flour, butter, sugar, cheese and freshly baked bread, which are available for delivery in Greater London, within the M25. You can also purchase a box for Cutter & Squidge to donate to its local food bank, on your behalf.

Mulberry has partnered with the National Emergencies Trust to help deliver vital aid to those most affected by the coronavirus outbreak across the UK. They will be donating 15% of their UK full price digital sales to this cause for the next month, which will be distributed by the NET to local charities and support groups who can most effectively and efficiently support the communities and individuals in need.

This April sees the launch of our Future/Craft campaign, which celebrates the skill and creativity at the heart of modern luxury – from heritage craftsmanship to innovative technologies. We’ll be sharing evocative stories and insightful interviews, which highlight the creativity, craftsmanship, technical expertise and pioneering spirit that defines the brands that call The Royal Exchange home.

We’ll also be revealing a series of 3D illustrated films, created especially for The Royal Exchange by digital artists XK Studio. The first mesmerising moving image they’ve created is inspired by the theme of modern luxury with graphic interpretations of glass, metal and fabric textures that interplay in an abstract digital realm to offer a moment of virtual reality escapism.
